Before you even fire that batch up up please take the 5 minutes out
of your busy time to read this. There are a few things you NEED to know about
some of the files. :-) You have been pre-warned.
Today more and more BBS running multiple nodes are being run on a
single computer due to the power of the PC. Running a network is becoming too
expensive as a hobby and running a BBS on one computer make more sence now
than ever before. Along with OS/2, the best multi-tasking softare there is,
running 32-64 lines on one computer is not that far away. I sent a message to
Raymond Gwinn, author of SIO, a while ago explaining this very thing. His reply
was that there would be a version of SIO out soon that would have unlimited
handling of Ports. I guess that means at least more than most would want to
have anyway. <G> So that means along with OS/2, SIO, InterMail and PCB you will
be able to run almost as many Nodes as you like on ONE computer.
At the time of writing this README.1ST text, InterMail v2.29i can only
handle 8 COM Ports so what that means is that you can run up to 8 nodes using
InterMail and PCBoard. From what Peter Stewart has said in passing is that when
InterMail v2.29j and v2.50 are released, it will handle more than 8 COM Ports.
So that means that when they are out, with a little modification this batch
file can handle as many nodes as you want depending only on your software and
Hardware Limitations.
After running Ezycom on a single batch file with InterMail I felt there
had to be a way to do it with PCBoard. I looked around for examples and every-
thing I saw was geared towards 3 and 4 batch files for each node. This way
solves that problem and uses 3 batch files for as many nodes as InterMail can
handle. It also passes all the correct varible information from InterMail to
PCBoard so that all software, like PPEs for example, function correctly.

THIS IS NOT RECOMMENDED! And you try this are your own risk!
Although I recommend you read right through everything first, you can
get going by extracting everthing into a TEMP directory (duh!) and then copy
WAIT!.EXE, PCBRUN.BAT and EXECBBS.BAT into your InterMail directory. Then make
a backup of your BOARD.BAT in your PCB directory and copy MY BOARD.BAT in it's
place. Change back to yout InterMail directory and type in PCBRUN <node> where
<node> is the node you have setup for InterMail.

-==============================■ Important! ■================================-
There are something you have to know in order for this to work
correctly however. I have included a program that is one of the best WAIT
software I have seen or used. It works great in a DOS session. This can be
copied into your InterMail directly along with the PCBRUN.BAT and EXECBBS.BAT.
There are some ANSIs I captured that you can look at in order to see what
error levels I am useing and setting up. You will have to edit them as you
deem necesary!
You have to be running OS/2 and need SIO installed. Well at least
with the way I have PCBRUN.BAT set up. I will be releasing one that I used
with DV before I went to OS/2 where you can use X00 and if you want me to
fix it up and release it along with this, please send me a message. :-)
Also if you want or need more screen captures of certain areas for examples
please let me know.
You have to check PCBRUN.BAT against your paths! Check all the SET
statements to be sure they match up with your system paths. :-)
This file is very limited in explaining what you as the sysop should
do but the PCBRUN.BAT is commented very well and will give you most of what
you need to know. It takes into account that the sysop is familier with
Intermail, batch files and PCBoard to at least some extent.
If you have any comments or questions you can get a hold of me at the
following addresses and numbers. :-) I will try to help as much as I can but
there is no guarantee.
